Don’t Skip Meals. Just Don’t. As a woman, it’s common to think that when you skip a meal, you are ‘saving’ calories. What happens though is it backfires and by mid-afternoon or early evening, you’re starving.  Then you feel like you have no “will power”. Your ravenous and so you E-A-T and the food you choose is almost certainly not the best for you. Because your body needs fuel in the form of food to function, when it’s deprived, it literally screams out for what it needs – food! Willpower is no match and you ultimately end up feeling guilty. Skipping meals sets you up for failure and feeling guilty.

But, here’s a great tip to set yourself up for success. Make sure to eat 3 meals a day and healthy snacks as needed. You’ll notice you get through the day with significantly more energy.  When you plan your meals out during the day, you can make healthier choices. It’s more common to make unhealthy choices when you need to eat something NOW and you just grab the closest thing at hand.

By doing this you’ll find you keep your hunger at bay and balance your blood sugar which has a whole host of other benefits that we will be going through in the next few posts.

Plan ahead and be sure to not skip meals and you’re sure to notice a difference in how you feel, plus you will usually end up eating fewer total calories for the day.
